This week’s SHS Faculty PD!

Two more weeks of school! Senior exams begin 6/5/17. Undergrad exams begin 6/12/17. End of year schedule may be found here.

Congratulations to SHS school counselor Janet McGinnis!  She was nominated and selected as Rhode Island Association of Admission Officers Distinguished School Counselor of the Year!

Congratulations to Mrs. Katherine Young!  She is the SHS Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to Mr. Marino at Winsor.  He was named the Smithfield District Teacher of the Year!

A BIG shout out to Bob Leachman on our custodial staff.  Bob retired last week after many years of service to the district.  Best of luck Bob!

Ms. Burke-Smith’s Smithfield History class recently completed some blog posts that highlight many unique places in Smithfield and a little town history.  Check it out here.

Congratulations to all of our spring sports teams!  The athletes and coaches shared many successes.  
Congratulations to Kayla Ezeama for winning the state title in the triple jump this past weekend!
Senior Honors night is Monday, 6/5 at 7 pm.  Participating senior must wear their graduation robes.
Smithfield Financial Town Meeting will take place this Thursday (6/8) in the high school auditorium. It begins at 7 pm.

Our music students are doing another Cabaret this Friday, June 9th.  6 and 8 pm in the band room. Cost is $10.
