The Town of Smithfield is looking for poll workers for the November election. Please review the following details if you are interested.

  • The contact at the town hall is Lyn Antonuccio, Deputy Town Clerk, at 401-233-1000, ext 112. The person has to be 18 or older and attend a class at the town hall to learn what will be their responsibility on Election Day. The class will be in a week or two. The students will need to be registered voters. They will have to report to their assigned district (there are six locations) by 6:00 AM and work until 9:00 PM. They will receive $135.00 for the day and will receive both lunch and dinner.

Check out Mrs. Young and Mr. Lynch’s US History displays on the Immigrant Experience.  Nice work!

The Alumni Project is back.  Recent graduates are invited to come back to SHS to share their story.  Please click here for more information.

There has been a great deal of media attention regarding clowns in the news this week.  We are hearing many stories and rumors but no clowns have been spotted at SHS.  As you know, SHS works closely with the Police, Fire and EMA regarding the safety of our students.  We will continue to monitor the situation but in the meantime please reassure your children that they are safe at SHS.  If you have any questions feel free to contact the school.  If you encounter any clowns, please contact the police department.
