I am pleased to announce that on Saturday, February 27, 2015, members of the National Association of Secondary School Principals voted me president-elect beginning July 1, 2016. This is a great opportunity for me both personally and professionally. I am looking forward to working with the membership to ensure NASSP continues to be a recognized thought leader and source for educational best practices throughout the country and across the globe.
- I will begin my term as president-elect on July 1, 2016 and continue through June 30, 2017. I will continue my role as principal.
- On July 1, 2017, I will begin a one year term as president of NASSP. To seize this opportunity, I will be seeking a one year leave of absence.
As I mentioned, there are lots of details to work out. The superintendent and I will be presenting a plan to the school committee soon.
