This week’s SHS Faculty PD!

Exciting and busy week ahead.  It is Spirit Week at SHS.  Check out the Spirit Week schedule of events.  We also have the 50th Anniversary Celebration.  You can check out the most current schedule of events here.

The Class of 2020 received their Chromebooks this past Friday.  Our Director of Technology, Paul Barrette, provided a brief training for the students as well.  I would like to thank Mr. Barrette, Mike Rush, JoAnn Robitaille, Allyson Angell, Lori Larrivee, and Luigia Solda for all of their assistance prepping and distributing Chromebooks to our students.

If your child did not pick up their Chromebook it was because they did not have the signature sign-off page.  You may find this document on our website.

Late bus will begin Monday 9/19 and will run Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday. Scheduled arrival @ SHS 3:12, leaving by 3:15, going to GMS, leaving GMS 3:30

Class of 2019 Car Wash – September 18th 10:30-2 @ Fast Freddies

Mr. Deslauriers took a group of SHS students to the EmpowerRI Technology Conference this past Saturday.  Our students made presentations on app design and creation.

Congratulations to XC and Track Coach John Marchand for being selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as the Girl’s Coach of the Year for the state of Rhode Island for the 2016 Track & Field season.  Well done Coach Marchand!
As I mentioned earlier, this is a big week for Smithfield High School.  I hope you can join us as we celebrate our 50th anniversary.  On behalf of the teachers, staff, and administration, I would like to thank the Smithfield community for supporting SHS and our students.
Have a great week!
